Slacker extraordinaire Kyle is the Underground's
intrepid reporter. Striking a perfect balance between I-didn't-see-that
cynicism and wide-eyed manic innocence, Kyle makes the rounds in
search of truth, justice, and the Club Denizen's Way. For kicks,
he works at the Crescent on Congress, takes regular lashings from
the Editor and Technologist, and forces himself to attend social
events involving drinking, dancing, and smoking.
OCCUPATION:
"Tobacconist, novelist, writer."
QUOTE:
"Some days you're the dog, and some days you're the
hydrant."
MAIN GIG:
"You're reading it."
OTHER CO-CONSPIRATORS:
"Everyone here at tucsonunderground, my co-workers,
and several figments of my imagination."
LIFE STORY IN BRIEF:
"I grew up in Connecticut...since I hate the cold
and snow, I vowed to leave there as soon as I could. Attended UofA-the
farthest, warmest school I could get in to. Ever since, I've lived
in a variety of places: Orlando, Florida working for the Mouse,
Las Vegas - but nothing beats Tucson."
BORN IN:
"A frozen tundra in a Northeastern state."
HOW LONG IN TUCSON:
"I've been back about a year now."
ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE TUCSON:
"Groovy."
WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE HAPPEN ON THE LOCAL SCENE:
"Less of the Frat/Sorority mentality in the club scene.
More of a Goth Scene. More of these empty retail/warehouse spaces
being used for something Downtown."
CONNECTING POINTS:
"Where to begin? I hang out at Cafe Q more than I
care to admit (If it's closed, then I go to the Grill).
I work downtown, so I get the joy of seeing everyone hung over and
crawling to day jobs. Monday nights, I go to Club
Congress for 80's Night. At least once or twice a week, I crawl
to Asylum. If there's a
Fetish Ball, I'll be there with chain mail a-jinglinging."
ARTIFACTS:
"Published an article in 2600, a Livejournal account, and thanks to National Novel Writing month, I have a novel!"
