Duncan is an inventor, painter, metalsmith, kind
soul; we first met him drawing his inventions in the Red
Room at Grill. He
was a bit shy but was willing to let you page through drawings that
made you wonder why his surrealitically practical things hadn't
been invented already. He's less shy lately, working hard to support
the Flash Gallery, also known as Café la Nuit. Stop by and
see his paintings and silver jewelry, both shot through with controlled
yet intense strokes. Duncan's one of those rare artists that genuinely
own a visual language of their own. Prolific and low-key, he's rare
in general.
