Onstage, the Jack Daniels-swigging, wheelchair-wheelie
Steven Dynasty and Yamaha keyboard-pervert Chuck Hollywood seem
to have just emerged from the ooze of the slimiest bar in LA. That's
the only observation you have time for before you are overcome with
the giggles at Cum & Go's raunchy originals. Or groaning --
their inspired version of "My Heart Will Go On (Love Theme from
Titanic)" makes up for every treacly replay of Celine Dion's. We
discovered the band opening for the Zsa
Zsas; our reporter Kyle
suggests we disclaim his interview as "possibly fictional." You
decide. We don't miss a single gig.

NAME:
"Chuck Hollywood and Steven Dynasty."
OCCUPATION:
"Band."
QUOTE:
"Rack 'em up, break my balls."
BAND:
"Cum & Go."
OTHER CO-CONSPIRATORS:
Steven: "No one else, just us." Chuck: "Well, we recorded our latest CD with Teddy Morgan." Steven: "We also had Candy Rivers do some background vocals on a few of our tracks. She is a dancer at the Dollhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We flew her in to Tucson to sing and she's been following us around ever since."
LIFE STORY IN BRIEF:
Steven: "We met at Dollywood in Pigfort, Tennessee. Chuck was there recording a solo album in Nashville. I went to Dollywood for a little vacation. We formed a band based on our mutual interests -- booze and women!"
BORN IN:
Chuck: "Beverly Hills, but moved to Laughlin, Nevada." Steven: "Chattanooga, Tennessee, but I live in Lake Tahoe."
HOW LONG IN TUCSON:
Chuck: "We're just here to record our latest record, then we're off to play the Viper Room at the San Remo Hotel."
DESCRIBE TUCSON:
Chuck: "How does that phrase go? Small town with a big city atmosphere?"
WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE HAPPEN ON THE LOCAL SCENE:
Steven: "More topless dance clubs."
CONNECTING POINTS:
Chuck: "We've played Vaudeville,
Plush, and the Red Room."
Steven: "Hell, we also go to Old Tucson Studios to watch the gunfights
and to the casinos to blow a wad on the fucking roulette wheel or
high-stakes poker."
ARTIFACTS:
Chuck: "A Yamaha Keyboard and Newport Menthols." Steven:
"A fifth of Jack Daniels, Camel 99s, and an old-fashioned push wheelchair.
. . none of that electric shit! You got to work your arms!" [The
band says they also star in various "amateur films," and
have two other CDs (In Yo Face and Pay at the Pump)
that were huge in Iowa. For their Tucson following, there's the
latest CD, Straight Pumpin', and sticker for sale at their
shows. -- KK]
