La Cerca
"I kept playing it over and over," said Boo about La Cerca's last release, and he wasn't alone. Andy Gardner's ongoing, mutating band has its own aesthetic, evident even in a town full of good players. Often called eclectic, the trio (and guests) deliver solid songwriting in a mix with texture. I asked songwriter Andy Gardner if I could photograph him recently at Club la Nuit, where he stages shows. "I'd rather you photographed me with my band," he replied.
