Heart V has created what is arguably the most beautiful space on Congress, with exposed brick, niches, and gorgeous art. It's a gemlike space where brilliant color is enhanced, jewel-like, by the dark setting. It's also a magnet for some of the more conventional-looking people on Congress, a transition point for mainstream to underground. Normal-phobics avoid it; others are drawn by nightly DJs and the frisson that occurs where guys in button-downs meet girls in a lot less.

Dance club and full bar with chill room. Cover. DJs spin every night. Crowd is a mix of adventurous mainstreamers and fringe-culture types.

Be ready to flirt or go to Asylum where you can wear fetish unmolested.

Unique features:

The chill room should be emulated elsewhere -- one of the few clubs that gives you a place to get to know someone without shouting.
