Performer, radio personality, rock manager (Cracker!)
and down-to-earth human, Cathy's well-loved despite the rough-and-tumble
of the rock biz. She knows the perils of taking a stand in a volatile
and male-dominated culture, but she handles her encounters with
such panache that we have yet to hear any smack-talk. And in Tucson,
that's saying a lot. That great smile and gritty 'tude can't hurt.
Cathy actively supports local music (by playing gigs as well as
showing up and buying drinks for struggling musicians) and local
arts via groups such as MOCA. Buy her a drink next time
you see her. She deserves a lot more. A toast to Ms. Rivers.
